Trained in psychology, my research experience is rooted in end-to-end study development and publication.

My experience in research provides me key insights about human behavior that inform design innovation. In particular, I’m interested in the researcher’s role in facilitating positive attitudes and desired behavior – the topic of my graduate thesis. From one-on-one interviewing to experimental design and testing, understanding the user’s experience is always at the forefront of my thinking.

Dexter was a valued member of my research team on two studies addressing dietary behavior. Across both studies, Dexter demonstrated a strong ability to investigate and apply new information and contribute meaningfully to the research process.

His organizational and management skills are excellent, as are his written and oral communication skills. His people skills are truly outstanding and he demonstrates excellent relationships with peers, mentors, and collaborators. Dexter is highly skilled in his ability to recognize a person's intention even if their words could offend, communicate without judgement, avoid emotional responding, and use such situations to increase understanding of and respect for others.

I managed many projects that had UI components so I frequently utilized resources on the team that Dexter worked on. I knew when a project was assigned to Dexter the work would always be done on time and as specified. He was always professional and a pleasure to work with.
